When it comes to sexuality, it’s a tad bit less of what’s in someone’s pants and more of what you find sexually attractive.
Example: heterosexual men find women attractive, but are typically drawn to their femininity or the femininity they represent. But a heterosexual man could also find a trans woman attractive because she also express or represent the femininity that the man is attracted to.
Weather you like dick or not is more of a sexual preference than anything.
I completely agree with what’s being said here, but this is at on the level of the individual. However, when it comes to categorising an action which is done with organs, it’s more efficient (one could even say correct) to rely on the traditional meanings for the following reason: the “sexual” part of the word “homo/heterosexual” refers to the body parts it is being done with. Now traditionally penis is the male organ. If it wouldn’t matter, gender dysphoria wouldn’t be a thing. Sure, nothing stops an individual who looks like a man, but doesn’t have a penis from identifying as one, that’s kind of what gender is, but that won’t change the fact that biologically a vagina is associated with females.
That’s kinda what I’m getting at. They’re often associated with each other, but they don’t have the direct relation that so many people claim that they do. There are biological men with vaginas who have to get them removed due to the imbalance between inner body and outer body, but they still exist.

Exactly, and because of that lack of direct relationship did I say that sure, it might be gay romantically, but when it comes to sex itself, the action is biologically heterosexual (or at least non binary, though that word isn’t really used this way, idk what would be a better term for it)
