last year i made a new save file for pokemon sun and decided to make a team full of shinies and beat the elite four with it, and the problem was that shiny hunting for the starter in pokemon sun is the longest in the entire pokemon franchise with like 3 minute cutscene for one attempt and i asked my friend to also shiny hunt it with me and then trade it to me so i can atleast start my adventure and he fucking got it after 54 eggs. i spent over 24 hours and 596 attempts and this fucker got it in a hour.
im telling this story because i used a shiny sylveon in the playthrough and it reminded me of the pain of shiny hunting
but when you finally get the shiny, its fucking peak just like kamen rider

After I beat Scarlet I switched almost all of my team to Shiny versions. I never got Scorbunny because I was too lazy to get the egg. I got really lucky and got an actual non-hacked Shiny Mew that my friend won in a giveaway. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a Mew replacement.
